Pringles 'are not potato crisps'
“Pringles, the popular snack food in a tube, are not potato crisps, a High Court judge has ruled. Their packaging, “unnatural shape” and the fact that the potato content is less than 50% helped Mr Justice Warren make his crunch decision. As a result, Pringles, in all flavours are free from Value Added Tax (VAT).”
I’m sorry that the BBC used that terrible “crunch” pun there.

My son returned today after spending five days on a school residential trip to Alston in Cumbria. He says he had a great time, but I think he and his classmates were a little perturbed when they first entered the village.

It’s a good point, what is the answer to that one?
No Woman No Cry
Im teaching my Year 9’s how to play “No Woman No Cry” by the late, great Bob Marley. When I introduce the song we talk about what the title actually means. There is alot of debate about its exact meaning but yesterday a student said that his dad had told him it was about when the queen of englands rule of jamaica came to an end. I looked it up and found a single quote on a blog page soewhere….
“‘No Woman,No Cry’ is a reference to Englands prior control of Jamaica. “Woman” is a reference to the Queen of England. They used to protest in Trench Town all night long against England. A purely political song.”
Mmmmm….any other ideas?
I think the song is Bob saying to his wife “I may commit marital rape against you and have innumerable extra-marital affairs, but you shouldn’t cry about it. OK?”
